IPLogic Awards 35k Wireless Makeover
IPLogic to Award The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh with Wireless Technology Makeover

$35,000 in funding will enhance technology capabilities and services for patients, families and institute administration and staff

Pittsburgh, PA – Communications and technology solutions provider company IPLogic Inc. today announced The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh is the recipient of $35,000 in wireless communications products and services as part of the company’s “Unplug-and-Win” contest in conjunction with Cisco and the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania.  The contest coincides with IPLogic recently moving into new corporate offices in Warrendale, PA to meet its continued growth in the regional marketplace.

“On behalf of the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania and Cisco Systems we are very pleased to award The Children’s Institute with this wireless communications makeover,” said Ken Yanneck, president, IPLogic.  “We are confident these products and services will only enhance the first class health care and rehabilitation services provided by this exceptional health care facility.”

The new technology will provide wireless access throughout various areas of The Children’s Institute, including conference rooms and common areas such as the library and the cafeteria.  Patients and families will now have wireless access from their rooms which hospital officials noted is particularly important as many family members stay with their child during rehabilitation which on average is 30 days.  This allows families to not only stay connected to home, but just as important, helps their children stay connected to school.  “Our goal is to provide the highest quality service possible to the children and families we serve. This is just one more way for us to further our core mission,” said David Miles, president and CEO, The Children’s Institute.

“IPLogic is committed to making the communities where we are located a better place to live and work and we are grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Cisco Systems and the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania to do just that through this contest,” Yanneck concluded.
