Ken Yanneck, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO

Ken Yanneck is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of IPLogic Inc. Under his leadership, IPLogic has grown from a small startup in 2001 to an organization employing nearly 100 people in seven locations throughout a five state region in the Northeastern, US.  Prior to founding IPLogic, Ken co-founded REALTECH Systems Corporation, an early pioneer in the Solutions Provider channel and profitably grew that organization to over 200 employees over a 12 year period.  Throughout his almost 25 years as an entrepreneur Ken has gained immeasurable experience developing companies from the start-up phase and transitioning to mature, professionally managed, growth-oriented organizations.

Ken received recognition in 2004 for his business creativity and leadership accomplishments by the Capital District Business Review as a recipient of the 40-under-Forty award, which recognizes the top up and coming business leaders of New York State’s Capital District under the age of 40.  He also has been active in the local Capital District community by serving on the Board for the Colonie Chamber of Commerce and delivering the convocation for the University at Albany’s Computer Science Department’s graduating class.

Ken began his career at the State University of New York at Albany where he was instrumental in deployment of numerous first-generation local and wide area networks.  He received a B.S. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany.

Mark Godfrey, Board Member and COO

Mark Godfrey is an experienced and inspirational business leader with over 30 years of professional achievement within manufacturing and service enterprises. Involvement over the last several years includes business growth and improvement activities for entities at various stages of strategic growth and organizational development. Style includes one of active involvement and problem solving with a team based mindset. Background includes holding senior level operational capacities in Business Management and Finance while leading and supporting organizations focused on growth. Strengths include strong organizational skills, participative leadership and team based motivational development. Degrees held from Southern New Hampshire University (MBA) and University of Maine at Orono (BSBA).

David Waterman, IPLogic Board Member

David Waterman, Managing Director of DeltaPoint Capital Management, has over 33 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, finance and general management. Prior to co-founding DeltaPoint Capital Management in 1996, Mr. Waterman was Executive Managing Director of Capital Formation Group, an investment banking and mergers and acquisitions advisory firm co-founded by Mr. Waterman in 1992. Prior to founding Capital Formation Group, Mr. Waterman was Vice President, Investment Banking at First Albany Corporation and was Vice President, Corporate Banking for Fleet/Norstar Bank. Mr. Waterman currently serves on the Board of Directors of IPLogic, Inc., a professional services company focusing on voice and data networking and current Fund III portfolio company, and Sigma Marketing Group, LLC, a data analytics and marketing services provider and current Fund III portfolio company. Mr. Waterman previously served on the Board of Directors of PCore Electric Company, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of high voltage bushings used by electrical utility companies and a former Fund III portfolio company, and Horizon Aerospace, LLC, a manufacturer of aircraft instruments and a former Fund I portfolio company. Mr. Waterman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from State University of New York at Albany. 

Kevin Halpin, IPLogic Board Member

Kevin Halpin, Director of DeltaPoint Capital Management, has over 12 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and finance. Prior to joining DeltaPoint Capital, Mr. Halpin was a member of Capital Formation Group where he serviced clients in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, restructurings and valuations. Mr. Halpin is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Badger Technologies, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of IPLogic, Inc., and a past member of the Board of Directors of DynaBil Industries, Inc., a former Fund III portfolio company. He is currently a board member of the Upstate Venture Association of New York. Mr. Halpin received a Master of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York College at Fredonia.

Gary Mittleman, IPLogic Board Member

Gary Mittleman has proven skills as a CEO, and is particularly strong in creating value for small and high growth companies.  In 2000 he was listed by Forbes Magazine as on of the country’s top 500 CEOs.  Currently, he splits his time as CEO of Advant-Edge Paving Equipment (a company which designs and sells equipment to make our roadways safer) and as President of Turtlerun Ventures (an investment advisory and consulting firm that works with early stage companies).  Prior to forming Turtlerun, Mr. Mittleman was the founding CEO of Plug Power, a high tech power generation company designed to provide clean and affordable electricity for the home.  Starting with a team of 22 people and one patent application, Mr. Mittleman created the leading residential fuel cell company worldwide with 500 employees, over 100 patents, and many key strategic alliance partners including General Electric, Engelhard, Detroit Edison, SoCal Gas, Hoechst Celanese and Vaillant.  He led the firm’s strategic direction, created the organization and raised over $100 million in private funding prior to taking the company public in 1999 with an IPO led by Goldman Sachs.  Earlier, Mr. Mittleman was President of Edison Development Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Detroit Edison responsible for energy related equity investments.  In addition to his work in the energy field, Mr. Mittleman has held senior positions at Booz Allen & Hamilton, Ameritech, Ranks Hovis MacDougall, American Can Company and the Knightsbridge Group.

Mr. Mittleman received his BA in mathematics and MS in mechanical and aerospace sciences from the University of Rochester.  He earned his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.  Mr. Mittleman serves on the board of IP Logic.  He is involved in nonprofit organizations and is a former trustee of The Albany Institute of History and Art, The Eastern NY chapter of The Nature Conservancy and the Michigan Center for High Technology. 

Christopher T. Burke, IPLogic Board Member

Christopher T. Burke is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany, Inc., (NABA) and is responsible for the overall agency management, leadership, and vision.  Mr. Burke has over 20 years of nonprofit management experience and was formerly with the American Red Cross in New York State as the Director for Business Development. He holds a masters degree in business and one in public administration.  Mr. Burke serves on many boards and is currently the President of the Board of Directors of Senior Services of Albany. He is married and has two children.

Hugh Quigley, IPLogic Board Member

Hugh Quigley is a graduate of Manhattan College with a BS in Engineering and holds a Professional Engineering license in New York State.  He is the former co-founder and President of DynaBil Industries Inc.  DynaBil is now Ducommun Aerostructures (NYSE - DCO).  In 2005, Hugh and his business partner Michael Grosso were recognized as the NYS Small Business Persons of the Year by the Small Business Administration.

DynaBil Industries Inc (now Ducommun) is a key supplier to the aerospace and defense industry and has been recognized as a world class supplier to such companies as Boeing, Sikorsky Aircraft, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman and others.
Hugh is still active in the aerospace and defense industry, both nationally and internationally, serves as a consultant to various companies, and is involved in many local civic organizations: Rutland Plastics Technologies, Board Member; Venture Aircraft Inc., Board Member (Chair); DeltaPoint Capital Private Equity, Operating Partner and HSBC Private Equity, Operating Partner.

David M. Montanaro, IPLogic Board Member

A corporate CEO, entrepreneur and seasoned investor with extensive board director experience, David Montanaro is a leading expert in the telecommunications industry and data networking industries and related technologies supporting the convergence of voice, data, video and wireless solutions in hosted environments. David has proven effectiveness leading high performing teams through strategic planning, mentoring, census building, and fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.

 

David built a career in developing, restructuring and turning around high-growth technology businesses.  He was a founding investor and board member and led USA Datanet Corporation as Chairman, President and CEO.  Prior to USA Datanet, he was an executive for NEC Corporation in numerous CEO roles spanning six different business entities over 15 years.  Prior to NEC, David was a leader in his industry, forging new multi-million dollar telecommunications organizations through innovation, entrepreneurship and leveraging of strategic partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.

 

David’s business leadership includes his current roles as member of the corporate board of Sensis Corporation and founding member and angel investor of the Seed Capital Fund of Central New York, LLC.
